Comparing Martial Arts Black Belt DAN ranking between Styles

Taw Kwon Do vs. Karate
Achieving a black belt in any martial arts style takes a lot of dedication, desire, skill and sometimes patience. The degree of black belt signifies a knowledge and skill of that particular Martial Arts style. On average it takes about 3-5 years to be prompted through the rank to eventually reach the Black Belt 1st Dan or degree.
Gaining additional ranks from black belt 1st Dan or degree varies between
the different styles and schools. Each style has their own requirements based
upon length of training, mastering additional skills and teaching.
